GLSMS exists to impart the principles of the Kingdom into the heart of its students, teaching them to integrate those principles into every aspect of their life.
“Transformed people, transform people”
Bill Johnson
GLSMS is for people who desire…
Relationship: GLSMS seeks to cultivate discipleship,
accountability and community in the lives of our students. We believe that these
things flourish in the context of relationships which embrace honesty, personal
responsibility, honor, and confrontation.
We intentionally build transparent relationship with our students and
provide time and activities which help students connect with one another. Gal.
6:1-5;
Revelation: GLSMS believes that every verse of the Bible is an
invitation into an experience with the Lord.
Our classes include opportunities for the students to share what the
Spirit is saying to them personally through Scripture and listening prayer. Not
only do students receive revelation from anointed ministers and teachers, they
are also receiving revelation directly from the Lord. Prov 29:18; Eph 1:17; Heb 4:12
Impartation: GLSMS students
experience impartation as a regular part of the equipping process. Impartation is the transfer of anointing, spiritual gifts and revelation
from one person to another. The
book of Deuteronomy says that Joshua was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for
Moses had laid his hands on him. GLSMS believes that this scripture and many
other verses like it teach us that impartation can have a dramatic impact on
our lives that is different than instruction. Rom 1:11; I Tim 4:14; 2 Tim 1:6
Practical Application: GLSMS believes that “Jesus became the model for all who
would embrace his invitation to invade the impossible in His name. He performed miracles, wonders and sign, as a
man in right relationship with God…not as God[1].” If Jesus is our model than we are to do the
things that He did. GLSMS provides a safe place, with a loving
atmosphere to take risks as we practice living a supernatural life like Jesus
did. Matt 10:8; Mark 16:17-18;
John 14:12-14
Transformation: GLSMS’s desire
is that our student’s lives be transformed to a “normal” Christian life filled
with miracles, signs and wonders as Jesus’ was.
This kind of transformation happens as we encounter God and become an
encounter for others. GLSMS teaches its
students to live in an awareness of the presence and glory of God, because those
who “…reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with
ever increasing glory…” (2 Cor 3:17-18). Rom 12:2;
GLSMS is not for the faint of heart or lazy. It is an extremely fast paced season of
schooling, but the training is pivotal and strategic. We believe the intensity
soon translates into “becoming”; things that are at first foreign and done out
of duty gradually become second nature and students move from merely echoing a
message to becoming a message.
